While telehealth service options are available, face-to-face appointments using COVID-19 precautionary measures are available. If you have flu or cold like symptoms please contact reception to reschedule your appointment with notice, or convert to telehealth options. When attending your appointment please be mindful of hygiene practices such as using hand sanitiser, maintaining appropriate physical distance, and wearing a face-mask if necessary.
Managing and supporting your mental health throughout life can be supported by linking to psychological support. When facing challenging life events, needing to build skills and understanding, dealing with trauma or loss, seeking psychological and counselling support can enhance your own skills and assist you to build on these. Therapeutic interventions that are evidence based help in the process of prioritising and managing life stressors, building skills and goals.
Even the most resourceful person can find them selves "only just" balancing all the demands of life. Seeking supportive help can be a great step to change and getting back on track or improving perspective, skills and coping.
Typical therapies include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), skills development including other specific therapies such as those for trauma, abuse and skills such as anger management or communication skills.
